Laverbread (bara lawr) is an edible seaweed tossed in oatmeal.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, laver was collected and dried in huts. But today this Welsh caviar is served in fancy restaurants.

This photograph was taken while the secret harbour codenamed 'Mulberry' which was built during the Second World War.
Now the marina is close to the old site and the secret harbour's name lives through the restaurant, 'The Mulberry'.
