African Girls Can Code Initiative phase 3 has kicked off with 120 girls! These girls will learn a lot in the coming 2 weeks! Today, UN Women in partnership with Ministry of Education | Rwanda, Ministry of ICT and Innovation | Rwanda & Ministry of Gender & Family Promotion | Rwanda, launched Phase3 of African Girls Can Code Initiative, bringing together 120 girls from across Rwanda to learn coding, robotics &digital skills. Huge thanks to Bundesentwicklungsministerium, I&M Bank (Rwanda) Plc. & Digital Transformation Center Rwanda for making this possible!

The programme aligns with national efforts to scale and ensure no girl is left behind in the digital future.

Yesterday the girls visited CMU-Africa innovation lab and Fablab! They were able to see how the coding skills they are learning in this bootcamp are applied in solving real problems! They got much inspired by what the startups are doing! We can’t wait to see their projects!
