We've kicked off a 4-day bootcamp for orientation of our 3rd cohort of Mastercard Foundation Scholars at University of Rwanda! New scholars will gain essential skills, network, and be supported to prepare for university life.
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at University of Rwanda is a 10-year partnership with Mastercard Foundation that aims to develop the next generation of transformative leaders by enabling highly talented young people to pursue higher education and cultivate their leadership potential.
Through the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program University of Rwanda scholars are offered 360°(full round) education,transformative leadership training & job market preparation to become attractive candidates for employment, create their own ventures & give back to their communities.
It's DAY 2 of the Bootcamp for the orientation of new Mastercard Foundation Scholars at University of Rwanda. Scholars are diving into leadership skills, effective communication, Mastercard Foundation values, giving back, community outreach, and more. Scholars excited for the times ahead!

Our 3rd day of the bootcamp was so amazing! Scholars explored Mastercard Foundation branding guidelines, impact storytelling, mental wellness, entrepreneurship & employability skills, the essence of giving back, and more. A day full of insights and inspiration!
On the last day of our 4 day Bootcamp for new Mastercard Foundation Scholars at University of Rwanda, scholars participated in a community work #Umuganda. They contributed in cleaning classrooms at G.S St Vincent Pallotti Gikondo, helping the school to prepare for the upcoming term.
Yesterday, a team of staff and students from Daystar University Daystar University visited us. They were eager to learn about the programs we offer. We discussed potential areas for collaboration, focusing primarily on regional research projects aimed at addressing regional challenges.
Today, a team from Lilongwe University of Agriculture & Natural Resources (LUANAR)'s Center of Excellence in Agricultural Policy Analysis (APA), which is now at African Center of Excellence in Data Science for a study tour, paid a courtesy call to University of Rwanda's Deputy Vice Chancellor for Strategic Planning
