Had a stale AWS account before I started MFA'ing everything. $2500 in charges from a hacked instance. Amazon Web Services is trying to give me a $1900 credit like that's a deal. 20 days worth of customer service back and forth. There wasn't even a valid card on file

.AWS Support you are trying to charge me $2500 from fraudulent use, you refuse to escalate my issue to a non-call center. Why would anyone use your service when you can’t fix a simple billing issue after 20 days?

If you ever have an Amazon Web Services issue, you will get passed between call centers for days, reps will say theirs hands are tied over and over, no case handler is ever the same. There’s no limit to the damage any hack to your account even if billing is out of date

If you have an Amazon Web Services with active billing and you aren’t using it, make sure to close it. Support won’t refund you even if obvious fraudulent use. Such a terrible experience. If I had an active card I’d be $2500 poorer. AWS Support is a joke account too, they won’t help you
