Apprehended: A 51 year old male has been taken into custody and charged with murder of Zhi Wen Yan, who was shot and killed in Queens.

Thanks to the hard work of the Detectives, a 47 year old female from Florida was arrested for an incident in Chelsea. She is currently being held on bail as a flight risk charged with a Hate Crime.

Thank you to the keen eyes of the public who recognized the individual wanted for this incident. The offender has been taken into custody awaiting arraignment on hate crime charges.

**ARREST- Assault/Slashing** Old fashioned Detective work 🕵️ ➕ Technology 🟰 Arrest Detectives arrested a 26-year old Staten Island resident for an Anti-Asian assault that occurred on March 12th in the East Village. The victim needed 8 stitches as a result of the injury.

In an effort to combat the ongoing incidents of Asian hate crime, the Asian Hate Crimes Task Force & Asian Jade Society Inc met with our law enforcement partners at this year's National Asian Peace Officers Association conference in a lively discussion to address the the hate-fueled attacks that are happening across our country.

Today, FDNY Lieutenant Alison Russo-Elling was stabbed and succumbed to her injuries. We stand with our FDNY family during this time of mourning.
