Have just listened to scary John McDonnel on BBC Radio 4 Today. I share Ipswich voters scepticism about his policies, but he’s a REAL politician, confident, lucid & fast-on-feet. So unlike most of the stuffed shirts we have to endure in this election.
BBC Radio 4 Today please correct justin webb saying it’s a different standard of proof in a criminal trial and an inquest. It’s not. An unlawful killing verdict in an inquest is on the criminal standard: beyond reasonable doubt.
Jo Maugham Marina Hyde "Unfortunately, he’s pulling out of climate debates and BBC interviews, as opposed to single mothers. Still, baby steps. And he’s certainly missed a few of those." Ouch :D
I know it's very confusing, and it's very easy to get sentencing law wrong because it's always changing .... But @patel4witham & Yvette Cooper if you're each going to make political points out of Usman Khan's sentence, make sure you get the law right.
