I’m absolutely appalled at the angry naive comments re Darling River flows that are directed at nrthn irrigators. I’m not sure that NSW Water could have been less transparent in their decision making. I can only assume that when it comes to water Govt Depts ask for bad press.

@peterhannam1.bsky.social Disallowed regulation did not exempt farms from needing water access licences or approvals for works. Farms already have river access licences; this reg was a step to bring floodplain harvesting from 1912 Act into same modern laws licensing and limiting other types of water take.
