Starvation, once in motion, even after food & medical care become availabe, remains irreversible for so many of its victims. It's a greater sin than the sin itself to be have spoken only after the sight of skin-on-bones killed Palestinians. An unforgiveable "theology of empire."

The voice of genocide, indeed. An indisputable fact: al-Mutawaq is 18 months old, born during the genocide, which the The New York Times refuses to recognize. Of course, he has preexisting conditions. Everyone in Gaza has developed preexisting conditions during the blockade & the genocide.

“When we came under siege, I was afraid that I could die at any moment. I think about arms manufacturers. Why do you do this? You are killing innocent people. Let us ask Jesus to stop the war. We ask all Christians to pray for us.” Amir, 11, refugee at Holy Family Church in Gaza

In 2015, ISIS announced the execution of 2070 ppl in a year of brutal rule. The bodies were thrown down deep the Khasfa, south #mosul. Many years passed & Mosulawees kept calling for the exhumation of their beloved. Pressure worked & the work has just started. A sad day Indeed.

Not much is left to say about Gaza. Words are no good. But we write as though they are, like a struggle without assurances. I gathered these thoughts as I read the posts of a journalist in Gaza (see epigraph). But they are meant as a way to think with those of us on the outside.
