Then it was a change of scene - swapping the city for the coast down at Porlock Weir. Yesterday L6th carried out sediment analysis with brilliant guidance from Ed Nettlecombe Court
Today we were collecting carbon data in two areas of woodland on the Nettlecombe Court estate enabling us to compare carbon sequestration in sycamore and oak trees. It was wet, it was muddy but we were not deterred! 👊🏼 🌳 🌳🌳
This looks good for #geographyteachers & #NEA "You simply input your postcode or name of an area you are thinking of moving to, say, & you can explore, download and map all kinds of statistics that tell you something about what living there is like" Spatially variable (Prof Rich Harris) 🌍🌎🌏 @GeogBristol
So looking forward to welcoming Paul James to speak to use about the regeneration of Gloucester today!

A huge thank you to Paul James for his excellent talk about the redevelopment of Gloucester. Brilliant links to our curriculum and important to know how things have changed, and continue to change, in our city. It was lovely to welcome geographers from Denmark Road High School too!
One couldn’t ask for a more comprehensive book about the regeneration of Gloucester. Very glad to have a copy of Believing in Gloucester by Paul James for our department library!
