Tonight, the Kennedy Center held a moment of silence to honor Charlie Kirk following his assassination today. May he rest in peace.

In honor of Charlie Kirk’s impactful life, I am lowering the flags of the United States and Georgia to half-staff on state buildings and grounds from now until sunset on Sunday. Please join Marty, the girls, and me in praying for his family and for the healing of our nation.

“TODAY IS A DARK DAY IN AMERICA… I want to be clear. This WAS a Political Ass*ssination” Utah Gov Cox speaks Truth: “Charlie believed in power of free speech” There is no question that’s why he was targeted. If we are not safe to speak in America, there is no America.

Last night I stood with 3 Dem leaders (2 current and 1 former elected official) not b/c I agree with them on everything, but b/c we can disagree with civility. UT Governor Cox led the way with “disagree better” now this tragedy in his state. Charlie Kirk voice will not be silenced.

As a former Treasurer I am disgusted by the incoming President of Oxford Union's reported celebration over the tragic shooting of American activist Charlie Kirk. I have written to the Returning Officer to demand an urgent disciplinary investigation

As a life member of the OUS and President of the Atlanta Oxford Alumni Chapter, he must resign immediately. His statements are proof he does not have the temperament to lead an organization that has cherished free speech for over 200 years. There is no excuse.

Charlie Kirk’s assassin Tyler Robinson, 22, killed him because he hated his opinions and thought he was a fascist. Yet ironically, HE was the fascist, killing someone to silence their opposing views. The woke left love to say ‘speech is violent.’ It’s not - violence is.

In April 2024, Governor Cox joined us virtually at the Alley Stage in Marietta, GA, where we discussed how to get the toxicity out of politics and #DisagreeBetter. Today, he said not only what needed to be said, but what we needed to hear. #ripcharliekirk youtu.be/PNmyWrn1kdI

Sounds like a horrible person whose death should be celebrated to me. Thanks lefties for radicalizing his killer. And here I am feeling remorse b/c I passed up opportunities to meet him and thank him for all he was doing, even the things I disagreed with. #ripcharliekirk

It is hard to imagine any candidate for any office could survive these revelations, but as far as I know he has not even lost a single endorsement.

Once one of the most influential political groups in the South, the New Georgia Project is shutting down this week, marking a stunning fall for an organization that pushed to advance Democratic causes for more than a decade. ajc.com/politics/2025/…

It is not being a uniter to refuse to call out racism. It’s being a coward. You don’t win more elections by remaining silent when it comes to racists, sexists or antisemites. You call them out. You purge them or you lose - not only elections, but any trace of moral authority.
