Take a listen to learn why Pullin’ Weeds took me hostage during the recording of this episode and demanded a hefty ransom
The USGA has hired Jordan Booth as a USGA Green Section Southeast Region agronomist. Booth spent the past three years as a research associate with Virginia Tech Turfgrass Science. Booth joined the Virginia Tech Turfgrass Science team after a 10-year run as the superintendent at Willow Oaks (Virginia) Country Club.
Where do golfers go? The USGA Green Section used today’s ASGCA Home Offices outing at The Country Club in Pepper Pike, Ohio, to GPS track golfer movement.
Thanks to all the ASGCA Home Offices staff and members for inviting us to your gathering. We learned a lot, connected with old friends, and made plenty of new ones!
Thanks to the Carolinas GCSA for inviting Jordan Booth to give an update to #CarolinasShow2021 attendees about what’s going on with @usga and USGAGrnSection
.USGA Green Section alum Carl Schwarzkopf stopped by our booth at the #CarolinasShow2021. We found his name in the 100th anniversary book and he shared stories about his tenure.
There are a lot of attendees learning from USGA Green Section agronomists as they provide insights about data collection and putting surface management. Great info from Zach Nicoludis, Adam Moeller & Brian whitlark. Proud to be part of their team! #GCSAAConference
Big thanks to Kyle Callahan & Thornblade Agronomy team for giving me the opportunity to make this my morning office for the week. Learned a lot, made new friends & was proud to support BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD SYNNEX
How do you know you’re at a national championship? Because Darin Bevard has Pinehurst Resort No. 6 dialed in for the first round of the #USAdaptiveOpen
Thoroughly enjoyed lunch with John LaFoy at a joint he has been going to since he was a kid. I asked a lot of questions. John had a lot of advice and insights from his decades as an ASGCA Home Offices member and leader.
We had flooding and lost some trees, but friends & family are safe. Checked in with a few members in the region, who are doing ok. Want to wish the best to all impacted by Helene, including ASGCA Home Offices members and friends of the Society, and hope for a quick clean-up and recovery
Came down to the Golf Inc. Magazine Summit with the family since we have no power. We had dinner with Bill Bergin, ASGCA Jerry Lemons Forrest Richardson . My 7yo son drew the ASGCA Home Offices logo for each of them, including for the guy who came up with the logo! Thanks guys for indulging my family!
I’ve never been so nervous as I was this morning when I addressed ASGCA Home Offices members, partners, sponsors and guests for the first time at our Annual Meeting. Thanks all for supporting the Society and the meeting!
What a great start to your Presidency! We look forward to your leadership and we’re excited to work with you to make ASGCA Home Offices stronger!
