I feel like Benjamin Zephaniah opened up literature to genration after generation of young people who were shut out from the space. What a legacy.

**PLEASE HELP** The Edgbaston Village Artisan Market, which was due to be held on my gallery's street tomorrow, has just been cancelled due to weather conditions. These markets are essential for businesses down our street, and they are the only really busy day of the month. 🧵

I don't know who needs to hear this right now, but there's less than 30 days to file your Self Assessment 👀 Don't be a last-minute babe battling website crashes just before the deadline like I was last year🤦🏿‍♀️

This is exactly what Stirchley doesn't need. If we don't fight against McDonalds coming, then Greggs, Subway, Costa etc will all be here next. B30 is incredible because we *don't* have any multi-national food chains. It is community driven, exciting, progressive and unique. 1/2

Birmingham's culture just doesn't look or sound the way Londoners want it to. Grateful to live in the hometown of Vanley Burke, Barbara Walker, Pogus Caesar, Jonathan Coe, Kit de Waal, Emmy Bridgwater, Conroy Maddox and Benjamin Zephaniah - to name just a few of our icons
