Different paths to #precisionOncology. For trainees (and indeed all of us), if you see a talk or subject that moves you, don't be afraid to seek out the speaker. You never know where it might lead. Related, see nature.com/articles/s4159… by Eli Van Allen

Auctions are great ways to allocate scarce resources to areas of need. But 50 states+fed govt competing for PPE and critical equipment is ridiculous. Why not a single fed govt purchase, then an internal auction/bidding system with points allocated by state population/need?

FDA pembro label details only 41 patients have PK data treated with 400mg q6. In the nivo FDA label, the PK data are not even mentioned. I'm not saying we shouldn't use the extended dosing... Efficacy will be equal. But we must be alert to new AE signals, esp infusional.

The intriguing case of a man with melanoma tumors that responded in different ways to the same checkpoint-blocking drug has yielded an important clue to the causes of resistance to immunotherapy treatments, according to Dana-Farber researchers. ms.spr.ly/6014TWxqp

Dr. Costa was my attending in residency. I vividly remember being on call overnight, caring for very sick patients on the floor, & feeling so much calmer when Dr. Costa came to help. He was kind and brilliant. This weekend he died of covid in his own ICU. baltimoresun.com/coronavirus/bs…
