Nunzio’s Restaurant in Loves Park has been sold. Longtime owner Nunzio Canale said his family is selling the business to Vince and Andrea DiGiacomo and their children. Nunzio’s has operated in Loves Park for more than forty years.

Rockford Police are conducting a shooting investigation in the 500 block of Locust Street. An adult male was taken to a local hospital for a life-threatening gunshot wound(s). We’ll post updates to this thread when available.

Rockford police: 11-year-old boy is charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm in connection with the shooting of a 13-year-old girl Saturday night at the 1000 block of Harlem Blvd. The girl’s injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: Two people were shot in the 1200 block of Blake Street and taken to local hospitals. No further information is available at this time. Updates to follow.
