Today is the anniversary of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, when we remember those we lost, honor the survivors, and thank the many who stepped forward to help. We call it #OneBostonDay – a day to share kindness and nurture the togetherness that gets us through hard times.

I called my mom today to thank her for teaching me everything I know about hard work and standing up for what’s right. Don’t worry, she picked up this time. Happy Mother’s Day to all moms!

For 28 years, the partnership between the Boston Parks and Recreation Department Caddie Scholar Program and The Fund has yielded $2.4M in Ouimet Scholarships to 170 young men and women. Meet some of the hardworking young men and women who maintain two of Boston's greatest public courses!

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department Caddie Scholar Program is special. Working class kids through their service to golf getting the chance to open doors of opportunity.
