Yesterday I was pleased to attend the 2nd Annual Ellsberg Lecture at UMass Amherst by Norman Solomon. The Ellsberg Initiative for Peace & Democracy And visited my dad’s archives. Amazed by hundreds of files already organized in archival boxes and the hundreds of boxes still unpacked and waiting to be explored.
Thrilled that Daniel Ellsberg (Memorial) was honored last night posthumously with a Nuclear Free Future Award at the amazing event co-sponsored by Nuclear Age Peace Fn and to meet his son @RobertEllsberg who gave beautiful remarks on behalf of his late father. With intro by Amy Goodman of Democracy Now!.
Dorothy Day died 43 yrs ago on Nov 29 1980. My reflections in Give Us This Day “We must cry out against injustice or by our silence consent to it. If we keep silent, the very stones of the street will cry out.”
