We are deeply concerned by the escalation of hostilities in Gaza. Our colleagues PRCS are working 24/7 to meet the urgent humanitarian needs. We lost contact with them in the blackout. All we know is that humanitarians, health workers and civilians are #NotATarget.

Civilians must be protected. Hospitals must be protected. Humanitarian workers including our teams must be able to safely carry out their life-saving work to reach those in need. I urge all parties to abide by their obligations under international humanitarian law #NotATarget

💢Our colleagues in the emergency operations room in #Gaza are working around the clock despite power outages and the ongoing intense shelling in the vicinity of Jerusalem Hospital.

An important life line in Gaza can no longer provide life saving health services. The PRCS has now confirmed that Al-Quds hospital has run out of fuel and power supply and is out of service. This will have catastrophic consequences for people in Gaza.
