The other thing that’s been happening is cancellations *on top of* the reduced timetable. Regardless of why Avanti has done this, currently it’s close to impossible to travel btw London and Mcr - the govt OBVIOUSLY has a role here, otherwise what’s the point of it. Insane.

I see the ‘I’m all for not-London having more but not if London gets less’ articles are still coming. Which is an argument against redistribution of public funds, basically. If £43m in arts funding to not-London is this big a problem no wonder we can’t get train lines built here
