And don’t forget the “writers” who pushed and peddled the Hagens scenario ad naseum for the clicks - buy-in from all levels. Meanwhile #isles took the best players at the #1 spot

The Islanders have been crushing this draft • Schaefer • Eklund • Aitcheson • Prokhorov • Romano Terrific value and upside throughout

This draft reminds me of 2009, where they replenished their entire system with high potential analytical choices. Except in this one, they got the best player in the draft, as well. #isles

Darche made his mark by making sure the #isles system is now flush with talent. Very curious to his philosophy when it comes to free agency.

This tweet has aged very well. Before the #Isles hired Jim Paliafito, the Islanders rarely won highly coveted undrafted free agents. That is no longer the case. Over the last 14 months, the Islanders have signed Maxim Tsyplakov, Gleb Veremyev, and Maxim Shabanov.

Ilya Sorokin has a full no-trade clause and has never been part of any trade discussions — not at any point. Surprised this needs correcting, but here we are. There’s a difference between reporting facts and creating buzz around yourself. #WeAreGoldStar!

Pretty impressive swing by Mathieu Darche in 24 hrs trading with his two crosstown rivals. Essentially gets Soucy, Palat and a 6th round pick for Tsyplakov - while also potentially improving his pick position in 2026 3rd round. Leveraging cap space to improve. 📈

Re: Tysplakov, we know there's talent there, and it may sting if shows up in NJ or wherever else, but what we knew for certain was it wasn't happening this season, on this team, with this coach #Isles

Isles picked a kid out of Russia at the cost of zero assets. Turned that into a third, a sixth, and 1.3 seasons of Palat, an experienced playoff pro who'll give you more than Tsyplakov in the short term. East is wide open man. Works for NJD too. Good stuff.

Note on #isles two moves: Got love when people freak out bc they think it's their money. Two moves to help the team defensively and to achieve playoff placement. Replace the 3rd pick from Soucy trade. Pressboxkov is gone. Take the fucking win.

And you guys have to be getting tired of the same old complaints and twitter nonsense. Defensive forward that Darche knows and feels capable of being more productive. Defensive dman on back-end to keep it stable under injuries. Both moves long before deadline #isles

Fans and Twitter pseudo authorities are acting like the trade deadline is here. These are smart deals done early before prices get out of whack and allow for stability #isles

Sidenote Observation: And Roy can deny analytics all he wants. His GM sure doesn't. Coach and GM get analytical reports after every game and overall tracking. #isles
