I’ve just had the privilege of reading the forthcoming memoir by dub sex frontman, Mark Hoyle, and what a beautiful book. Written with heartbreaking honesty about his childhood, it then becomes a total time machine back to 70’s/80’s Manchester. Route have done it again ❤️

Nice to see our old friends Hood get a mention here. Our two Hood LPs are a crucial piece of the SLR 90s puzzle.

I suppose as I reach the disappointing twilight of my years on earth at least I can at least say I had a small footnote in what is some kind of golden era for a handful of folks.

Listening to that Spoonfed Hybrid album. Looking at their recording dates in Neptune studios in Sheffield I reckon we may have been in there in the weeks after to record stuff for the first Hood album. My 2 copies here. 3 for sale on Discogs at about 200 quid each lol.
