This is cool: Lara is in China working on client supply chains and giving realtime updates.

14 day lead time cutdown is just a huge deal for an ecom business.

Selling a gift product? Here's my most important creative advice:

There's something in it for the gift-giver. That's what you have to speak to.

The temptation is to talk about the product's value to the recipient ('here's how it'll make your life better'). And obviously you…

Had no idea this was coming but great breakdowns from Dara here, including a longform explainer that has spent a bunch of money for a client.

Her comp to the Ogilvy Rolls ad is exactly right. Exact comp I made in my most popular thread ever: twitter.com/andrewjfaris/s…

I make this pitch this way constantly in my ad reads for my pod sponsor, More Staffing:

If you're already remote, you absolutely SHOULD use More to look in the Philippines for talent. Incredible talent, much lower cost than the US. Why wouldn't you?

The most misunderstood thing about Meta's machine learning:

It's not that the machine learning is always right.

It's that it's right way more often than you are.

4. Switched Bid Strategies

I used to be team lowest cost. We now have our Meta account almost entirely on manual bids. Our top spending campaign used Bid Caps. I'm no maxi, but it has helped us really push spend when the demand is there.

Sometimes I see or hear about interest or lookalike targeting still happening in a Meta account, and it just shocks me.

It's not so much a problem as it is a waste of time and effort. Look elsewhere for your answers.

In a brand's earlier stages, almost everyone underestimates the power of seasonality.

The tailwinds make you feel like an entrepreneurial god.

The headwinds make you feel like everybody sucks at their job.

Neither is true. Seasonality is just very, very powerful.

The more I work with brands, the more convinced I am that carefully forecasting the entire PNL (then reforecasting regularly as you get new information) is the highest impact thing that is most rarely done.

Uncommon truths about offer testing:

- Offer testing is a limit function. 95% of brands are very early on the curve (have lots of remaining upside).

- The bigger the gap between product margin and gross margin, the more opportunity for win/win offer sculpting

Easy tactic to increase the value of offers/promotions you're running:

Change the email capture pop-up on the page to have the exact same offer you have on the page.

Your opt-in rate will go way up and the automation that fires serves as free remarketing of the offer/page.

Another weekend that I took almost completely off on Saturday (two quick ad account checks, <30 total minutes of work) then 100% off Sunday.
