Public consultation for the council’s Annual Budget 2023/24 is now open. I strongly urge Aucklanders to ‘have your say’ on the proposed options to cover the $295m budget gap. #AKhaveyoursay

Auckland Council spent $86 million on consultants & contractors last year. $58k represents just 0.07% of that expenditure. But the Mayor's Office must set an example for the rest of Council. Mayor Brown should say 'no more consultants' in his office to prove it can be done.

If a rail project initially costed as $1 to $1.5 billion has now blown out to $5.5 billion, then what would the light rail projected costed as $15 to $29 billion end up costing taxpayers and ratepayers?
