Random sports musing #1: The victim of a soccer penalty must take the ensuing free kick. Getting to choose your best player for the kick is lame. Exception for a flagrant foul against a player away from the ball done purposefully to prevent a likely goal. Judgment call by ref.

Random sports musing #2: Teams w/below .500 record in their division shouldn't make the playoffs (any sport). The best team above .500 from another division should bump a team that can't manage to "break even" after a full season. Hey, Jacksonville Jags and Tama Bay Bucs... 👀
