Awful to learn from the Zelensky White House meeting that 20,000 Ukrainian children have been forcibly removed from parents and taken to Russia since the war began. You do not want to read about the level of abuse in Russian orphanages. europarl.europa.eu/thinktank/en/d…

A local council worker was spraying RoundUp Weedkiller near the childrens playground near my house this morning, is this safe for children considering it's a banned in certain places? Also the playground is next to a nature reserve(!) Hillingdon Council Mayor of Hillingdon PAN Europe

But this can be fixed. Government must use this pause to get SFI right. Farmers need a scheme that supports them and rewards them for restoring nature, protecting soils and water, and ensuring a resilient future. Long-term stability is crucial. What comes next must deliver.

The Conservatives are set to announce they would ditch the net zero 2050 target. As a flagship policy to launch their policy review it isn’t without some risks. Not least as the policy splits their remaining 2024 vote, with Tory voters narrowly more likely to support it than not

The dismissal of net zero as 'impossible' by Kemi Badenoch undermines the urgency of the climate & nature crisis unfolding around us. Net zero is essential if we're serious about protecting the wildlife we cherish, the places we love, and the future we leave our children. 1/2

Net zero by 2050 is challenging but achievable. It is supported by the scientific community and backed by the independent Climate Change Committee as being not just necessary but feasible and cost-effective. We are already seeing the impact of climate change. From extreme

Sterling effort from Simon Evans to explain why falsehoods, highly subjective opinions, and wilful ignorance of thousands of pages of detailed analysis does not add up to brave truth telling, regardless of what Kemi Badenoch says to the contrary.

Sobering analysis. 369,000 children are likely to die - and these are preventable deaths - due to food aid cuts by the US, UK, France, Netherlands. Such a shame to see this slippery slope & lack of accountability. Keir Starmer Damian Carrington gainhealth.org/media/news/369…
