On this Environment Day, we celebrate our collaboration with Kenya Forest Service, supporting with equipment to establish a Mangrove Alert Centre in Lamu.The Centre will aid research and M&E to help inform policy decisions on mangroves conservation & restoration in Lamu and beyond...
The equipment includes smartphones, solar-powered power banks, wireless modems, desktops & more. The Lamu Mangrove Alert Centre will boost both national & international reporting on mangroves. Training plans for Kenya Forest Service & Lamu CSOs are afoot to operationalise the Centre
