Great to see six councils now working on Welsh Veg in schools. Connecting local organic community growers with schools. It’s nature friendly, foundational economy and feeds our kids the healthy food they need. We need all 22 councils involved. Future Gen Cymru Derek Walker
Great pilot. Figuring out access to fresh fruit+veg for families in Cardiff South who can’t afford 5 a day, through vouchers/discount with local growers. We can’t achieve a more equal Wales if Welsh kids don’t have equal access to affordable good food Future Gen Cymru
Food is fundamental to our wellbeing but many councils+health boards aren’t prioritising access to affordable healthy diets in their local wellbeing plans. In steps partnerships like Bwyd Powys Food hosted by Cultivate Newtown to create local food network+strategy to get everyone working together #rws2024
