As being on the frontline of #Policing is feeling increasingly more relentless and thankless I thought this #ResponsePolicingWeek it would be timely to share this video as it sums up for me ‘The Job’, why I joined and (mostly) why we all still do what we do.

Yesterday saw the team and I taking part in our annual first aid refresher which covered everything from asthma attacks and catastrophic bleeds to acute behaviour disturbance. It was also good to receive some face to face scenario training around major incidents. #RPUTraining

It’s been a really busy weekend for the team at Sussex Roads Police. We’re currently on scene dealing with a single vehicle collision with South East Coast Ambulance. Although injured the occupant is in the grand scheme of things okay.

We’re en route to assist colleagues with a number of separate reports of vehicles losing control and crashing on the #A23 / #M23. There is heavy surface water across the road network so if you’re heading out reduce your speed and drive with extra care ⚠️ #DriveToArrive

Stop check of a vehicle after seeing the driver not wearing his seatbelt. Upon speaking to him we established that the load on the back of his vehicle was insecure and he was also over the drink drive limit. #Arrested #NoExcuse #Fatal5
