The Honourable Barbara Adams has been appointed as Minister of Justice & Attorney General. The swearing-in ceremony took place at Gov House and the LtGov administered the Oath of Allegiance. Minister Adams also received the Official Seal.

The LtGov was delighted to attend the Education Week Proclamation & Award Ceremony, held at the Halifax Central Library on April 16. This year's celebration focused on connections within the community and awards recognized individuals who empower the larger school community.

Her Honour Mrs. Patsy LeBlanc hosted a reception for the Halifax Ladies' Musical Club and the Women for Music Society at Government House. Her Honour serves as the Patron for both organizations.

The LtGov was delighted to celebrate #TartanDay at Gov House. The afternoon featured performances by students with Halifax Highland Dance & Gaelic Studies, Citadel High School, along with remarks from Mr. Tom Wallace, President of the Federation for Scottish Culture in NS.

Their Honours were delighted to welcome Bob Chaulk, author, historian & diver to Gov House. Mr. Chaulk marked the 151st anniversary of the SS Atlantic Museum shipwreck, the largest marine disaster to occur off the Canadian coast prior to the sinking of the Titanic.

Gov House was open for a Citizenship Ceremony on March 27th. Forty-seven candidates took the Oath of Citizenship, which was administered by the LtGov, and became Canadian citizens.
