Reportedly collected from flotsam of RMS Titanic by able seaman John Sage of CS Mackay-Bennett.
It's suggested that the fragment, carved in an 'egg and dart pattern', is from one of Titanic's Second Class areas.

This hand carved wood lounge panel fragment comes from the arch over the forward entrance to the First Class lounge, the area where RMS broke in half before plunging to the ocean floor, hence the broken edges. Maritime Museum M2004.50.108
