'The reign of the girlboss is over,' writes Dr. Elizabeth Segran in Fast Company. Why being a highly visible female founder turned out to be a double-edged sword—and how they paved the way for what comes next. fastcompany.com/90960329/girlb…

My Fast Company colleague Dr. Elizabeth Segran and I spoke to customers, lawyers, food safety experts, and the executives at Daily Harvest to find out how the company incorporated this ingredient into a product without any awareness of its potential for harm. fastcompany.com/90908456/daily…

It’s nice to see Barnes & Noble bounce back by—of all things—rededicating itself to being serious about books. Sadly, though, the one I’ve visited most often in recent years is about to close. (By Dr. Elizabeth Segran.) fastcompany.com/90854345/barne…

We can't get around it. is responsible for the scourge of fast fashion -- but I think it can also help kill fast fashion. Here's my plan for how to do it! fastcompany.com/90843984/fashi…

Love this article from Dr. Elizabeth Segran — she always is always realistic. This idea that no one wears suits anymore is absurd yet continuously promoted by the mainstream media. The city, culture & industry matter more than anything 'fashion' has to say. fastcompany.com/90822078/wear-…

'...3% of sold in [U.S.] is made locally.

But Bayard Winthrop...says it’s not as hard as you might think. Since he launched the brand a decade ago, he’s been painstakingly building out a local ...from to zippers'

“There is a tangible value associated with the ‘Made in the USA’ label,” says Scott Paul, president of the Alliance for American Manufacturing. “Making sure the label is safeguarded, protected, and well-enforced is very important.” bit.ly/336YXIE

Our Scott Paul chatted with Dr. Elizabeth Segran about maintaining the integrity of the label.

'Consumers should feel more confident today than they did a couple of years ago, though we still have to be vigilant,' he says.

Thanks to Dr. Dr. Elizabeth Segran, I learned about this class action lawsuit against New Balance on their 'Made in USA' designation for some of their kicks.

It also shows how incredibly strict the 'Made in the USA' brand is. Shinola's past battle comes to mind.
