When I was about 12, my grandfather arrived at our home after a road trip and said he'd eaten at a place called Red Lobster along the way and regretted it. In his honor, I have made a point of never having gone to one.

This is ridiculous:

1) MKBHD is as fair as they come

2) Honest reviews are a huge favor to any company smart enough to pay attention

3) If Humane has its act together, it paid someone with reviews experience to evaluate the product and knew what to expect

Finishing up doing my taxes with TurboTax, and it's been such an unsatisfying experience that I tried H&R Block's equivalent, which is also bad, but in different ways. Are any of these good? Maybe the desktop versions?

Other than it being easier to integrate a camera, is there anything about the Ai Pin form factor that's inherently better than a smartwatch? I'd rather have a high quality display on my wrist than a murky one on my palm.

This is depressingly common! I think the assumption is that it induces FOMO, like -- everyone else is covering it, why aren't you?

But (most) reporters are looking for the new and novel; stories and angles that you can only get with them. If it's been covered, it's boring.
