People often ask me what I remember from this bruising encounter on University Challenge where the critics humiliated the ‘tv’ world. Well - Monty Dan was useless, so was Clare Balding. Andrew Neil was feeble. Martha Kearney was OK. In general, they were stupider than I expected!
