Soldiers from the 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team who are deployed to Africa hosted a Joint Light Leaders Course for other CJTF-Horn of Africa service members May 9 at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The course introduced the service members to basic infantry skills. 📷: Capt. Owen Dietrich

During an aviation firefighting exercise, Camp Lemonnier Fire and EMS trained with Djiboutian and French first responders. Training alongside our host nation partners increases our interoperability and military readiness, enabling top-tier support to assets in theater.

Sailors assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron (MSRON) 10 participated in an English language exchange with Djiboutian sailors.

Camp Lemonnier celebrated Independence Day with carnival games, music and food at a Fourth of July block party to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Holiday celebrations allow service members to participate in traditional celebrations while far from home.

Soldiers assigned to 1015th Engineer Utility Detachment received their shoulder sleeve insignia during a patching ceremony at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti.

Camp Lemonnier and Pennsylvania National Guard service members trained with Japan Joint Staff service members at our small arms range. We proudly support our regional allies and tenant commands by providing platforms and facilities for partner exercises and knowledge exchange.
