We are The University Of Zambia today. Happy to see huge contributions by the Center of Excellence aceidha_zambia. With the ACE, PhD & Msc completion rates improved, enrolment of students from the region increased, built a state-of-the-art structure & motivated plans to create more ACEs at UNZA.

Since 2017 the Africa Center of Excellence for Infectious Diseases of Humans and Animals aceidha_zambia has recruited 226 Msc and PhD students. 125 of them have graduated 🎓. The ACE has two internationally accredited programs with Germany based accreditation agency ASIIN.

The agriculture Africa Centers of Excellence hosted at several African universities are skilling people through quality tertiary education and research who can solve complex challenges of agri-food systems and agribusiness management. Great food for thought for the ACEs.

The Cowpea research programme by the Regional Center for Crop Improvement MaRCCI Uganda hosted at Makerere University has successfully developed 17 new high-yielding cowpea varieties which are resilient to pests and diseases. #ACEIIResults #FoodSecurity #InvestInPeople

Joyce Nababi's study recommended that #coffee grounds can be used as a nutrient supplement in strawberry production since they don’t affect the fruit quality & have no impact on the nutritional value of the strawberries. She hopes to commercialise the coffee grounds fertiliser.
