Happy Bloomsday! "The sky showed him a flock of small white clouds going slowly down the wind. Moutonner, the French said. A homely and just word" #Ulysses #JamesJoyce #bloomsday #TottenhamMarshes

Spurs named viewing areas in honour of his cloud names at the top of its east and west stands of its new stadium. These, with views of the pitch and across London, were named 'Stratus East' and 'Stratus West' in recognition of Howard's classifications of cloud formations.

Please sign the petition to Save the White Hart at Tottenham Hale. There is no need for the demolition of this building - Regeneration should not mean the destruction of Tottenham’s past.

It was a fine morning in the Forest. Little soft clouds played happily in a blue sky, skipping from time to time in front of the sun as if they had come to put it out, and then sliding away suddenly so that the next might have its turn. ~A.A.Milne #SaturdayMotivation #Spring

Clouds in the Big Sky. One of the many fantastic things about Lordship Rec is the “big sky”. Informative post from Lordship Rec Friends covering Luke Howard, cloud types, sunsets, rainbows, painters, Cloud Garden campaign and the Cloud Appreciation Society bit.ly/3ictHLy

Looking at this picture I suspect that JC Dahl, like quite a few European artists of the time, had read about the work of Luke Howard, namer of clouds (whose 250th birthday we celebrated recently) Tottenham Clouds

Tottenham Civic Society At least the owner of Luke Howard's home on Bruce Grove N17 recognises the importance of the namer of clouds. Maybe this year, they will recognise a need to progress renovating this historic Tottenham building? We know Haringey Council has been monitoring the situation for years.

I am a palliative care doctor who is not opposed to AD. But on the eve of tomorrow's vote, it boils down to this. Enshrining in law a state-funded right to die, while not enshrine a similar right to the palliative care that might make life worth living, is deeply wrong. 🧵
