It makes no strategic sense whatsoever for TfL NOT to lobby the GOV.UK for powers to cap PHV numbers. In fact, those at TfL Taxi & Private Hire don’t even have a coherent argument against it. It’s also contradicts the reasoning used by the City of London when they decided to restrict taxis.

I know it's probably a long shot but i just dropped off an Indian family with a young boy and they took a black cab yesterday 28/7/25 from the science museum around 17:50-1800 going to Chelsea creek and the left a blue back pack with the boys medication in the back of the cab.
