Freenow still claims to be the 'agent' in taxi driver-passenger contracts, despite HMCTS ruling them as the principal.

Complying with these regulations, as outlined in the Hackney Carriage Acts and the London Cab Order 1934, is essential for Freenow to maintain its agency role.

The The Standard have NEVER supported hard working Black Cab drivers, preferring instead to give their paymasters, Uber, front page commercial prominence on more than one occasion.

Don’t give them time of day; they are not interested in reporting anything accurately.

Driver number's look set to reduce by a further 2,000 by 2027 to approx 13,500 GB's

All EU5's will be gone in 2027, so unless TfL change rules again, all taxis will have a 15 year life cycle.

In 2027, we're likely to have 11-11,500 TXe & 2-2500 EU6, as many cabs as drivers!

This should not be happening. In our publication Transport Justice we argue: 'Disabled people and pedestrians front and central of any policy.'

This is what Kevin, who is blind and a long white can user thought of the new Cyclops Junction at Chorlton in Manchester, which is part of the Bee walking & cycling network ‘It’s just totally confusing’. The layout is too complex and no more should be built please.

Embolder charlie barley TfL The trade is in a rock and a hard place. Neither party will get behind sole traders/small businesses.

The Tories are only interested in smoothing the way for cooperations/multinationals and Labour won’t support endeavour over the plight of precarious workers.

It’s that simple!

There will be a debate in Parliament on LTNs on May 20th.

It is another indication of just how far the issue has come up the national political agenda in recent years.

Didn’t Uber claim it would change its toxic ways a few years ago?

And are meant to believe that if Uber assumed market control they wouldn’t attempt to put other apps out of business, and dismantle the taxi in the process?

Day 2 of our stay in Bristol & I'm still in shock at Bristol City Council taxi licencing policy. Finding it so hard to get a cab that would take me, who transfers & has a chair that goes in the boot isn't acceptable. Makes a difficult city impossible to visit as a wheelchair user.

I think we will, in the future, revisit the agent/principsl argument and recognise its importance in the Hackney Carriage contract.

Understanding who is the transportation provider and where the hackney carriage regulations sit between all three parties in taxi hiring (via an
