I'm at the Tees Barrage where the HM Bark Endeavour is soon to be lifted over the lock gates as part of its move to Whitby

At the moment, a team of contractors, engineers and divers are manoeuvring the vessel into position before it will be lifted five metres into the air and over the lock.

It's already well on its way to being in the right position to be lifted, however the lift itself could take up to four hours.

It's pretty windy on the bridge's viewing platform but it doesn't seem to be causing problems so far. Fingers crossed!

Once in position, the team will fit lifting equipment and heavy straps under the hull of the ship, which should then be ready for lift off!

Those at the Air Trail have a decent view directly opposite!

The Endeavour needs to be lifted by this huge 750-tonne crane due to its hull being three metres wider at the broadest part than the six-metre width of the lock gates.

The divers are yet to get under the boat but the crane has been moved slightly forward. Might be here a while....
