Let's stop poisoning wildlife. Pesticide use in fields, gardens, parks, verges, community spaces and waterways is putting bees, birds, hedgehogs, butterflies, beetles, frogs, damselflies & many more species at risk. So please: don't use pesticides 🐝

Please don't cut back ivy if tidying your garden! Around this time of year its flowers are a brilliant late season pit-stop for struggling pollinators like bees, butterflies, hoverflies and moths 🐝 #gardening #wildlife #nature

Our feathered friends need all the help they can get at this time of year, so if you haven't got round to filling up your feeders or putting out fresh water, now's the time to start! Which birds visit your garden in winter? πŸ¦‰πŸ¦† #GardenersWorld #BigGardenBirdWatch #Winterwatch

Bumblebees can only fly for about 40 minutes between feeding. But 97% of our wiΕ‚dflower meadows are gone. So every time we plant a nectar-rich flower, it could be the pit stop that saves a bee 🐝

To help a grounded, struggling bumblebee - which is probably hungry and tired - place it on a nectar-rich flower. This dandelion in our garden was a lifesaver! As last resort, if no flowers available, offer the bee a white sugar & water 50/50 mix 🐝

Dear councils, please support the push to restore at least 30% of nature by 2030. Easy win: prioritise biodiversity over non-essential mowing, and don't spray or use plastic grass. Let's give wildflowers and pollinating insects (and ourselves) a chance 🐝

A bumblebee can only fly for about 40 minutes between feeding. But we've lost 97% of our wiΕ‚dflower meadows. So each nectar-rich flower you plant in a windowbox or in your garden or community green spaces could be the pit stop that saves a bee 🐝

Our 2022 #LitterRipple kicks off on Friday 18th November and runs for 10 days (we'll explain why below!). We can't wait to get stuck in and see how far across town it spreads this year. With your help, we hope we can reach more than last year's record 160 streets!
