Here we go again. No PA state budget yet. Will school districts get inflated cyber charter school tuition bills without state funding in hand? Will taxpayers get ripped off for another year without an obvious problem being fixed? Ask your state senator where they stand on this.

New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and New York don’t have taxpayer funded cyber charter schools. Ohio and West Virginia have cyber schools that receive a per pupil amount from the state. PA has a cyber tuition funding formula that rips off local school districts and taxpayers! Why?

Ed Voters of PA has found that PA Virtual Cyber Charter School spent almost $765,000 on advertising, promotions, zoo sponsorships and theme parks in 2024-25. How can any PA state senator think that is OK? Imagine the outrage if a school district spent money like that!

It is time for PA taxpayers to express their outrage at how cyber charter schools are spending tax dollars on questionable items yet every year show deplorable achievement and graduation rates. Call a state senator today!

The PA Virtual Cyber Charter school spent over $720,000 in 2022-23 and over $790,000 in 2023-24 on advertising and spending on sponsorships. Is it any wonder that public school supporters are asking for a significant change to way cyber schools are funded? Fix it now!

Thanks to Bill White’s article in today’s Morning Call for calling PA’s charter and cyber charter school laws disgraceful and identifying the PA legislature as the real problem for wasting taxpayer dollars. How true! Call your state senator and demand a fix to this problem.
