Here we go again. No PA state budget yet. Will school districts get inflated cyber charter school tuition bills without state funding in hand? Will taxpayers get ripped off for another year without an obvious problem being fixed? Ask your state senator where they stand on this.

Just saw a TV commercial for Reach Cyber Charter School. Guess what! The commercial did not share their proficient/advanced student achievement rates. Go to the Future Ready Index to see the actual dismal results. Your tax dollars at work!

New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and New York don’t have taxpayer funded cyber charter schools. Ohio and West Virginia have cyber schools that receive a per pupil amount from the state. PA has a cyber tuition funding formula that rips off local school districts and taxpayers! Why?

An early thank you to those associated with any aspect of schools for creating a caring and supportive environment and engaging students in high quality knowledge work. Best wishes for a productive 2025-26 school year.

A recent NBC News investigation into reports of neglect and abuse of 3 former students Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA) (including two children from the Lehigh Valley) details a lack of oversight and accountability at this cyber charter school. Yet CCA is still fighting the PA law that requires

Call your state senator today. Ask them to approve a year two of state aid in response to the Supreme Court case and also to approve a significant change to cyber charter school tuition regular and special education rates. Every dollar helps the local taxpayer.

Ed Voters of PA has found that PA Virtual Cyber Charter School spent almost $765,000 on advertising, promotions, zoo sponsorships and theme parks in 2024-25. How can any PA state senator think that is OK? Imagine the outrage if a school district spent money like that!

It is time for PA taxpayers to express their outrage at how cyber charter schools are spending tax dollars on questionable items yet every year show deplorable achievement and graduation rates. Call a state senator today!

The PA Virtual Cyber Charter school spent over $720,000 in 2022-23 and over $790,000 in 2023-24 on advertising and spending on sponsorships. Is it any wonder that public school supporters are asking for a significant change to way cyber schools are funded? Fix it now!

Thanks to Bill White’s article in today’s Morning Call for calling PA’s charter and cyber charter school laws disgraceful and identifying the PA legislature as the real problem for wasting taxpayer dollars. How true! Call your state senator and demand a fix to this problem.

Want to know more about cyber charter school finances then read Peter Greene’s excellent article published in Forbes.com on Sept 5th, 2025. Again, what is holding up some state senators from enacting justified changes to cyber school funding? Ask them why not!

A Pa. school's been growing faster than any school before. I've spent the past 6 months looking into why and what it means for education in Pa. Today you can read Part I of: "Virtual Dominance: How a cyber charter school has upended K-12 education in Pa.” pennlive.com/education/2025…

Glad to see that Emmaus High grad Mario Landino played a lot in last night’s Big Ten Championship game. He had a huge sack in a key moment in the game. Number 97 represented the Lehigh Valley well in the game.

Another fine game for Emmaus High grad Mario Landino of the Indiana defense. Nice to beat a legendary team like Alabama in the Rose Bowl. Best wishes for continued success in the NCAA Playoffs

I have been lucky to work with many wonderful people during my career. Jim Best fit that description. I am so excited to how well the Emmaus wrestling team is performing under Jim’s expertise and leadership. Best wishes for continued success this season.

Keith Groller had a nice article about Mario Landino from Emmaus High and his family in today’s Morning Call. Good luck to Mario and his fellow Indiana players in their game against Oregon. Keith…thanks for your fine story. You are a true Lehigh Valley hero!

Another fine game for Mario Landino. Two fumble recoveries led to Indiana touchdowns and put the Hoosiers in control of the game. One more game to go! The country will be watching on the 19th. Keep up the great work!
