Gene Hackman dead at the age of 95. To say he was one of the great actors is an understatement -powerful, explosive & captivating on screen. Great roles in movies like The Conversation, French Connection, Royal Tenenbaums, Superman, Poseidon Adventure & more. Sad, sad, sad news.

Gene Hackman has passed away at the age of 95. Gene was one of the greatest actors of his, or anyone's generation. He was a powerhouse, as adept at comedy as he was drama. Today is a very sad day, we've lost a legend. Gene was a giant of cinema. R.I.P Gene Hackman

I was privileged to know Gene Hackman because he played tennis with another Gene—Gene Wilder. And that Gene told him about a little role called The Blind Hermit in our movie YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. He said, “Do you think Mel would let me play it? I’ve always wanted to do a comedy.”

Remembering the great Leonard Nimoy on his birthday. From originating and helping create and shape #Spock with such heart, to directing, writing, or producing #StarTrek movies, and then moving from Prime to Kelvin, he is, and always shall be, our friend.
