Thanks to all my campaign teams across Fulham and Chelsea today.
And especially glad to welcome a team from Battersea Conservatives too!
Winning in politics is a team effort!
Honoured to welcome Minister for Energy Efficiency Lord Callanan Martin Callanan to a roundtable on accelerating decarbonisation today, with our CEO Tom White, our #XLR8CCS project partners Glass Futures, NSG Group, Heidelberg Materials, Evero & @Wood, plus @CCSA & Liverpool City Region
As the Office for National Statistics (ONS) says Gov won’t hit their heat pump target, despite record levels of installation in Europe and UK public interest (6m waiting lists, grant applications up 100s% since Ukraine), here are some things Gov can do to for #heatpumps alongside the grant (some consulted on):
Rico Woj Martin Callanan We are actively looking into the role of A2A heat pumps. We have a review underway with Energy Systems Catapult and intend to undertake a trial this winter. We’ve already zero-rated VAT on A2A heat pumps and are currently consulting on allowing them under permitted development.
Thanks to UK minister Martin Callanan and Department for Energy Security and Net Zero for sparing some time to speak to Larissa Gross and myself in Paris about the Clean Heat Forum today. We are very grateful to governments for their continued support of this important global policy innovation network.
Energy UK was pleased to see Department for Energy Security and Net Zero Minister Martin Callanan restate the Government’s commitment to the Clean Heat Market Mechanism yesterday in the House of Lords. The energy industry and our members look forward to hearing more details soon.
Good to see the campaign of predatory delay against heat pumps being orchestrated by Mike Foster and EUA being called out in the House of Lords and roundly condemned by Department for Energy Security and Net Zero minister Lord Martin Callanan. Will the EUA board act? Or do they approve?
Shout-outs to the industry eXperts who helped us launch our new Shoebox NX product yesterday! 😊 👍
Thanks to Chris Stark Chris Stark, Lord Callanan, Michael Liebreich Michael Liebreich and Tim Heal. Also, thank you to Octopus Energy and Legal & General.
Great to be with Martin Callanan at the launch of the new Kensa NX Shoebox networked ground source heat pump; a potential game changer for complex to decarbonise homes
