"God’s divine imprint is on every one of us, and I can’t imagine a stronger statement that is in support of the fact that Black lives matter.” #JUNETEENTH2020 Commissioner Merle Heatwole
We're so grateful for our teams and partners in communities across the country who have made such an incredible impact on those in need during the #COVID19 pandemic. #DoingTheMostGood The Salvation Army St. Louis

As our nation struggles with COVID-19, we must be mindful of the broader damage it could do. A study by the American Bar Association suggests that 20 million Americans could face eviction between now and September, a crisis that will create even greater social and economic problems. (1/2)
Consider that as a result of the housing crisis of 2008, 10 million Americans lost their homes, and Salvation Army USA saw 10 million new requests for service. As we face a rising tide of homelessness, it is less expensive to keep people in their homes than to force them out. (2/2)
Glad to report that Presiding Judge Rex Burlison has suspended #COVID19 related evictions in City of St. Louis through at least September 1. We continue to work expeditiously with our providers to process and deliver $5.4 million #CARESAct mortgage/rental aid to thousands of folks.
