Putting Technique: It’s a popular misconception that the putter head should move straight back and forward as if it’s on train tracks. Your putting stroke should have a natural arc to it. To move it straight back and forward consistently would take too many manipulations.

In general I find a lot of golfers don’t understand the importance of tempo and rhythm in a golf swing. At the start of every practice session and before every round it will benefit you to spend 5 minutes finding a good rhythm in your swing.

A lot of golfers put too much energy into technique with no real thought for their target. Changing your focus from golf ball to target will often create better shots. Think about if your practice is actually helping you on the course.
