From time to time, volunteer TBTC chain saw maintenance crews encounter dangerous situations with “hanging trees”. A big thank you to Bryce Moore who came out recently on a volunteer basis to help take down a big tree hanging over the trail near the St. Helena Rd access pt.

The Halton Hills Chapter braved the stairs of Devil's Pulpit in the Caledon section last Sunday. Steep inclines, lovely scenery, good company and fantastic weather highlighted the 8k hike.

Did you know? A First Nations village was discovered on the Scotsdale Farm property, dating back to 1550. The propery is located overlooking Owl Creek, a tributary to the Credit River. Mark Rowe wrote about it, for E-Notes several years ago. Read more bit.ly/3IjKWvP

Congrats to the 17 hikers who came out on Canada Day to earn the BTC Pride Badge! It was a hot day but everyone had a ton of fun hiking, chatting, and spotting items to complete the scavenger hunt. Thanks to everyone who made Pride special this year on the Toronto Trail.

The Caledon Trailway is closed between Winston Churchill and Heritage Road due to culvert repair for the summer. Please note that if you are doing a loop hike using th Rockside ST or the Terra Cotta ST you may want to factor this into your trip planning.
