Green onyx looks calm on the rack. Put light behind it and it becomes the feature. This slab is headed for a recessed wall inset, so we’re checking it both ways. Material and light have to be chosen as a pair.

This one was all about constraints. A backlit glass at the 38th-floor entry of ADNOC HQ, in Abu Dhabi, built into a renovation where we didn’t have much depth to work with. Special thanks to Nulty Lighting, FCP Architects, and Ejadah Asset Management Group!

I'm thrilled about this project and had to give a small preview before install. It’s quickly becoming one of my recent favorites. These curved glass-backed panels are headed to a bar project in Beverly Hills. I'll be back to share the finished installation soon.
