The ‘Transmission: Getting Power to the People’ panel at #CLEANPOWER23 discussed ways the #IRA & #IIJA has helped spur more #transmission investment, the biggest impediments to building more transmission, and the need to address workforce challenges.

Speaking on the need for reform and transmission, ITC Holdings Corp.’s Krista Tanner shares an example of a project, where there’s already an existing line, taking 10 years to permit saying, “If it takes 10 years to permit…we’re not going to launch this rocket.”

It's been a challenging 24hrs for Sunflower crews & staff at our member co-ops. Crews faced whiteout conditions, large snow drifts & were stranded when trucks got stuck. All substations are energized & crews are focusing on repairing damaged line segments that were sectionalized.
