I am now Dr. Tirna Sengupta! My thesis on Adivasi dance within the frameworks of "local culture" in the Dooars reimagines indigeneity as a concept rooted in place while being embedded in global flows. The viva experience was fantastic for me and frankly, I did not want it to end!
