I'm so glad this is finally happening. These Black men are lying for views. I've known that "statistic" was a lie for a long time. This video breaks it down further. Please watch it.

I can't say exactly how widespread it is, but there is absolutely a strong cultural backlash right now against any and all romantic storylines in film or TV from viewers younger than me.

If you’re looking for real injustice, in the US, fewer than 10% of people with my cancer are killed by it. While, in many places, fewer than 10% of people survive it. It isn’t because they don’t have castor oil and turmeric. It’s because they don’t have chemo.

I don't understand how some men hate romance novels for being unrealistic, but they didn't complain when John McLain took down a helicopter with a car in that one Die Hard movie.

The number of times I’ve seen someone with an interest in psychology confidently spouting a bunch of only slightly true, wrong, or glossing over the nuance is too many to count. The people who *sound* correct are the most dangerous.

12% of Americans live in California - but 30% of homeless Americans, and 50% of unsheltered Americans, call California "home." This prompts endless schadenfreude from "red state" partisans, and is waved as proof of the failure of liberal policies. 1/

Let me make sure I understand this correctly, Kindle Direct Publishing. You let traditionally published books be in Kindle Unlimited AND all other retailers, but you'll shut down an indie author's account when their book is pirated. So, why not drop the exclusivity clause? It's only fair.

Oh, and we are now allowing mystery books to not have a mystery. Fantasy and SF can just be normal world none of that “weird” stuff. And non-fiction can be made up, just like fiction but I want it to be called non-fiction so I can sell it under that. booktrib.com/2023/07/24/why…

Related question for anyone in the know. I’m severely dyslexic and rely heavily on Grammarly and other similar programs for writing. Any others out there that are safe from this? For work I can’t feed my reports into AI for confidentiality reasons (both FERPA & HIPAA violations)

Wondering who else has worked with @RodmanArts or has a project going with them. I’m concerned if they're okay. I have a project w them & they missed deadline. Looks like they’ve finished other projects & seen my messages asking for the work. Nothing since. Are they okay?
