The Duchess of Rutland & I were delighted to present the first Belvoir Prize for Poetry to Georgia Sanderson at Belvoir Castle. Georgia, a student at University of Leicester, received the highest marks out of all the portfolios of poetry which were submitted for assessment in 2022. 1/2

2/2 Georgia's parents were also invited. Her mother, Sarah, said "Meeting the Duchess was overwhelming & spending time with [Tim] afterwards was incredible. [He] made it such a special event & we wished we had more time with him!" Congratulations Georgia! Glad you had a good day!

Just witnessed a murder [of crows, fighting with a flock of gulls] on the rooftops, while an ominously long line of wood pigeons watched on, silently. I must admit, that's a pretty creepy start to my Halloween.

The #WomenInDynamics team spoke about the importance of retaining women in the technology industry at Directions for Partners today. Carme Cortada explained how employing women into the industry is all for nothing without providing them with reasons to stay.
